Making of Sprut

This is my new model, it had been long under the old concept. I have called this work sprut, although it is more similar to the scat) but decided to leave the name as stuck from the very beginning.

I Created this model exclusively in Maya subdiv, final render in mental ray and a postprocess it in Photoshop. The work main purpose is to show how I feel and that the form of object is the most important comparing to ability to sophisiticate the surface details. On figs below you can see Concept painting and not smoothed model.
I created all model in separate parts so it is necessary to collecte them at factory. Detailed models screenshot see below.
The smoothed full model, I love an equal and accurate grid, I consider that it too very important part. Therefore on a grid I gave particular attention.

As the purpose of this work to show idea and forms of model I did not maked it textured. But I has
drawn a structure in Photoshop on top render. I did all render in Maya with mental ray.
