Hey check this Easy Photo-montage with Photoshop, 3Ds max & VRay video tutorial. I actually came to this one by an accident, just played with Photoshop Adjustment modes. Probably you might find other ways of doing that, however I find this as the easiest one.
And it worked really fast for this project, so I’m pretty much satisfied with the results.
The advantage of this method is that, our main model completely isolated from the background.
